The battle took place right after Niki’s escape and the Burning of the Eiffel Tower. It was fought beneath the Intimidation Tower in Pogtopia.

The third party followed Tommy from the original skirmish site. Tommy then called for Dream and Technoblade for aid on the situation. A skirmish began as soon as Dream and Technoblade arrived. Tommy was shot multiple times by the third party, and attempted to pearl onto the tower and water bucket MLG. He was ultimately killed by Skeppy however. Antfrost was put in a skirmish against Dream and Technoblade and was quickly defeated. Punz defected to the other side to win back Dream's loyalty.

Tommy respawned in the base and claimed Ant's items as well as his own. Without a weapon, he attempted to clobber Skeppy with a pickaxe, but was killed by Bad. Sapnap realised this was a losing battle, for he was now outnumbered. Sapnap drank a potion of strength, but was unable to kill any of the Pogtopians. Tommy respawned once more, but this time only armed with two cobblestone blocks, a water bucket, and 8 pearls when he respawned.

In the midst of the skirmish, Niki attempted to help the Pogtopians, but being an unarmed civilian, she was accidentally killed by Technoblade with his Axe of Peace. Sapnap's strength had run out, so Dream and Techno took their opportunity to strike at him while he was weak, killing him, and Tommy had rejoined the battle. Skeppy and Bad were the final two remaining third party members. Tommy mistook Punz as an enemy, but was told by Dream to be on their side. The four of them teamed up on Skeppy and Bad. Skeppy took heavy hits, and was forced to pearl away, but was killed and Bad escaped.

The battle resulted in a Pogtopian victory, being the first major battle in the war to come. With Mars secured in his Ender Chest, Tommy now had 3 of the most important items on the SMP in his possession.
