By far one of the most successful shows of the 90s is the sitcom Friends. Friends is the story of 6 friends and their lives while living in New York City. Together, the main characters face drama, heartbreak, marriage, jobs, family, and much more. Friends is a show that anyone can relate to and watch on end. The characters are Rachel Green, Monica Geller, Pheobe Buffay, Ross Geller, Chandler Bing, and Joey Tribbiani.

Rachel is a spoiled, wich girl from Long Island who has just moved to the city. She is unaware of the challenges of the world, and with the help of her friends, becomes a waitress and later gets involved with fashion. Monica Geller is a chef and "mom" of the group. Monica is very neat and likes everything organized, a trait that the group constantly makes fun of throughout the seasons. She also went to high school with Rachel, and many episodes have hilarious flashbacks to their high school experiences. Pheobe Buffay is very creative and writes songs to play at Central Perk, a coffee shop that the 6 constantly go to. Ross Geller is Monica's brother and is a paleontologist. Ross was in love with Rachel in high school jiewbnfvuiwbevp, Chandler Bing is the sarcastic and funny member of the 6. He works in data processing, but his job is a joke on the show because none of the friends know exactly what he does for a living. His roommate is Joey Tribbiani, a struggling actor and lady' man. Joey's most recognizable line is "How you doin?"
